Connection Compass
Battling the Workplace Loneliness Blues
Can you believe that 79% of white-collar workers have felt lonely because of their job in the past month? That's a lot of us feeling isolated!
But here's the thing, darlings - it's not just about working from home. It's about how we connect with our colleagues, whether we're in the office or not. And for our friends of color, it can be even tougher to feel like they can be their authentic selves at work.
So, what can we do? Well, it starts with small steps. Maybe it's reaching out to a coworker for a virtual coffee chat, or suggesting a team bonding activity. Remember, you're not alone in feeling this way.
Have you felt lonely at work lately? What's one small thing you could do this week to connect with a colleague? Let's brainstorm together and spread some workplace warmth!

SUCCESS STORIES
From 'Never Again' to 'I Do
I've got an incredible story to share that'll warm your heart and maybe give you a little hope if you're feeling lonely. It's about our friend Dena, who took a chance on love not once, but twice!
After a failed long-distance relationship, Dena swore she'd never do it again. But then, during the pandemic, she got an email from a Swiss guy. Despite her hesitation, she decided to give it a shot.
They started with emails, then calls, and finally met in Paris. Can you imagine the butterflies?! But here's the beautiful part - they didn't just stick to romantic getaways. They did laundry together, went grocery shopping, and met each other's families. They tried "real life" together.
And guess what? It worked! They've now been married for three years!
So, my lovely friends, here's what I want you to take away: Don't be afraid to take chances on love, even if you've been hurt before. Sometimes, the most beautiful connections come when we least expect them.
Have you ever taken a leap of faith in love? I'd love to hear your stories! π

COMMUNITY WISDOM CORNOR
Finding Belonging in Unexpected Places
I've been so inspired by our friend Tara's story of finding her Jewish connection in Cuba!
You know, sometimes when we're feeling lonely or disconnected, the answer might be in exploring our heritage. Tara didn't expect to find family in Cuba, but she ended up meeting a distant relative and feeling her grandfather's presence throughout the trip. How beautiful is that?
But it's not just about family ties. Tara's story shows us how connecting with our cultural or religious communities can be so fulfilling, especially during tough times. It reminds us that we're part of something bigger.
So, my darlings, here's a thought: Could exploring your roots help you feel more connected? Maybe it's time to dig into your family history or reach out to a cultural community you've been curious about?
Connection comes in many forms. Sometimes, it's just waiting for us to take that first step. What small action could you take this week to explore your heritage? Let's share ideas and inspire each other! π

SELF-DISCOVERY JOURNEY
Rediscover Your Inner Child
I want you to think about your "inner child" β that playful, curious part of you that sometimes gets lost in adulting.
Close your eyes and visualize your younger self.
- What did they love doing?
- What made their eyes light up with joy?
Now, ask yourself:
- How can you bring some of that childlike wonder into your life today?
Maybe it's finger painting, building a pillow fort, or having a dance party in your living room. Whatever it is, I challenge you to do one thing this week that reconnects you with your inner child.
Remember, embracing your playful side can be incredibly healing and help combat loneliness. So, what fun adventure will you choose? I can't wait to hear all about it! π

WEEKLY REFLECTION & GOAL SETTING
Planting Seeds for Meaningful Relationships
Think about a moment this week when you felt truly connected to someone. What made it special? Now, let's set an intention for next week: choose one person you'd like to deepen your connection with.
Here's your challenge: plan a shared experience with them. It could be as simple as a phone call to watch the sunset together or trying a new recipe over video chat. The key is creating a moment of genuine connection.
Remember, building relationships is like tending a garden β it takes time and care, but the results are so worth it!
What connection moment will you create this week? I'm cheering you on! π±β¨
